Working method
How we work, and what to hold us to.
In place of testimonials, here are the steps we follow and the criteria we consider a job done well. Use them to judge us, or anyone else.
Five stages
Listen and scope
A conversation and a written summary: goals, audience, constraints and what is explicitly out of scope.
Decide the shape
Platform, structure and key flows agreed, with tradeoffs written down.
Design and build in slices
Small, reviewable increments with working builds you can try yourself.
Check against criteria
Testing on devices and browsers against the quality list opposite.
Release and hand over
Publishing support, documentation and access returned to your accounts.
Honest quality criteria
| Area | What “done” means |
|---|---|
| Accessibility | Keyboard reachable, visible focus, readable contrast, works with larger text. |
| Responsiveness | Checked on narrow phones, tablets and wide screens with no sideways scrolling. |
| Performance | No unnecessary heavy assets; loads acceptably on an ordinary mobile connection. |
| Clarity | Every screen has an obvious purpose and a way back. |
| Ownership | Source, design files and account access sit with you. |
| Documentation | Enough written notes for another team to continue. |
